On the other hand, it is good for hours for those of us who remain. That must be why my hours are going up again.
Well, it's an ill wind that blows no good, I suppose.

Among other things, today I was exposed to the fact that Best Buy sells a rather nice HDD enclosure, and when I checked the employee discount price I couldn't not buy one. It's SATA, but since the drive I want to plug in is SATA that makes no nevermind. It's a USB 3.0 interface (which is, of course, backward compatible with 2.0) and it even came with its own little Philips-head screwdriver.
The only real problem I can see with the thing so far is that its interface ports are on the same side of the housing as the power/activity lights and the power switch. Considering what I paid for it, I don't care. This is a $40 drive housing, but I didn't pay that much.
Whee!
Besides that, I had a pretty nice day at work. It was busy and I had to deal with some annoying issues, but overall I found myself in a cheerful mood as I left this evening. You really can't beat that, even if you try.
I may end up having to plug the drive into the system again, and boot from it, just to copy the user directories into places where they're not password protected. If I can do that, considering how screwed up the damned registry was....
Well, I'll cross that bridge if it becomes necessary.
