Hint: most of the time, people don't take their moms to Geek Squad to celebrate.
The precinct was dead and there was another guy there, so I punched out a whopping two minutes early. I'm a rebel!
My wife is visiting her mother today (appropriately enough). We were invited kind of last minute, and I had to work, so here I am.

I saw, the other day, a product that solves a problem I have. It's a device that lets you put your subwoofer up to 45 feet from your receiver and connects it wirelessly. Its MSRP is $60 but I didn't pay that much for it (employee discount) and I intend to see how it works in my family room. If it does, it'll mean having the subwoofer in a highly not-obvious place, and that will free up some space around the entertainment center where it is sorely needed.

I had thought to take the bike out for a spin until I saw the weather radar, which contains an awful lot of red and yellow. There's also a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 PM. Well, as I said, "expect a deluge", and every day for the next five has some chance of rain in it.
Oh well.
I was hoping that the weather would stay dry for my days off this week, but it doesn't look like that's the way to bet, and in fact I'm starting to think I ought to kit up and go cut the grass before it does rain here.
That seems to make a bit of sense to me, so I'm off.
