#4240: Cool, gorgeous weather

Today was the first day in quite a while that I was able to sleep in. I slept, and it sure felt good.

...and once I'm done with breakfast and blog post, I must go cut the grass. With all the rain we got, it's doubled in height in the past week. *sigh*

Yesterday I finally got around to installing the new ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Installation was simple and non-tedious, and the hardest part was getting this one screw into a tiny little hole in less-than-ideal lighting. Heck, I didn't even turn off power to the room--no need to when the light switch is wired correctly. I did 3x check to ensure there was no power present at the bare wires, but there wasn't, so I was able to wire the thing in. (I did have a sitcom-like image of my wife coming into the room and turning on the switch, but that didn't happen.)

The ceiling fan will help keep the bedroom cooler, and at $20 it's a pretty sound investment. Now I'm thinking I want to put one in the computer room....

Win 8 includes some games, and I've had a chance to try "Adara" (which is a cheesy graphic adventure but has interesting puzzles) and the usual Mahjongg solitaire game (which is not-bad).

...but instead of futzing with computer I need to be cutting grass, so....
