#4407: In the rain, snow is glistening!

As I was on my way to work this morning, I could see snowflakes falling in the rain. Not many of them, but enough for me to realize that if it had been a few degrees cooler (it was 37°) we would have had our first snow since April. Yeesh.

I turned the heat on today. I had it on in September--overnight--a couple of times, when it got below 66° in the bunker. This morning it was 64°, so it went on again.

This is impossible, because we were told that Greece was fixed. Well, it turns out that Greece is not fixed, according to S&P, who say it's going to default in about fifteen months.

Vox Day sarcastically makes a good point here: if sex is a choice, then age ought to be as well. WTF, half the time I feel like I'm 65, so why shouldn't I be able to collect Social Security?

Then there's this: a couple of lesbians who got "married" and one of them went to a sperm bank, for the obvious reason. Instead of getting sperm from a white man, they got one from a black man, and now the woman who bore the mixed-race baby is suing the sperm bank.

But, we are told it's not raciss or anything, oh no!

Apparently Heather has two mommies and she doesn't look like either of them. Heather is going to need lots and lots of therapy when she grows up!

So I started reading Destroyer of Worlds and I am finding it to be very vaguely familiar. I must have read this thing, which means I bought it previously, but I'll be switched if I know where that copy of it is. *sigh*

I have to say that on a cold, dreary, blustery, wet day like today, it's wonderful to come home to a warm house.
