#4517: I guess over the course of six years that's bound to happen.

So last night I decided to make a new toon in WoW. A draenei shaman named Semoponume.

"Semoponume" is a random nonsense name I got from Haganai, where one character, Sena, was playing a dating sim and another character fiddled with the controller, inputting random syllables, until that was the result. Rather than start the game over, Sena went with it, so we're treated to various screenshots from the game where characters in it are talking to "Semoponume-san" or "-kun" or what-have-you, and it's funny.

Got to the end of the creation process, hit "create", and got a message telling me that I already had the maximum number of characters on this account.

Now, one would think that if you'd reached that limit the software would tell you that when you hit the button to start creating a character, rather than waiting until you were finished and ready to make the toon. That's what a reasonable person might suspect, but that's apparently not the way Blizzard thinks.

So I looked over my list of toons and found a couple to delete, characters I created, played for a few hours, and never revisited. If a toon is still single-digit levels some months after creation it's probably safe to delete it. I got rid of "Yellowbeerd" and "Cortanà". I'm going to weed out a few others, too, I think. It's probably safe to delete "Slaughther", the blood elf death knight who is level 66 (having started at lvl 55) and who I have not played for more than two years.

Who the hell needs fifty WoW toons??
