Work today started at 11 rather than 10, which means I didn't have to deal with the idiots who wait in the parking lot for the store to open.
I mean, come on--is it that important to your day that you must be inside the store at 10 AM? I invariably find it infurating when I'm still trying to log into the system and there's already a doofus standing there with his computer. Fortunately most of the people who are there at 10 AM are there for other reasons, but I still find it bewildering and kind of annoying.
...but today, instead of opening, I was scheduled to be in at 11, an hour after the store opened...and there was no one and nothing rather than an hour of chaos. I quite liked that.
Very light traffic today, and the boss was in the precinct the entire time so at least for once I don't have to defend the fact that I didn't sell anything today.
I was actually cheerful while at work. Don't get me wrong; I still work in a soul-sucking noise box--but I had a pretty nice day for a change.
I wonder if that has anything to do with the tab of Xanax I took before leaving the house, because of the severe panic attack I woke up with?
Nahh.
