#4748: WTH, man!

After that last post I went back to bed, and slept until 4:30. *sigh*

Tonight is chili night, and it's going to be good. The chili is percolating on the stove now, and should be ready about the time I finish this post. Oh yeah.

So Bruce Jenner is now Caitlyn Jenner and is getting the "Arthur Ashe Courage Award" for its brave stand for surgical mutilation and hormone injections. That's much more courageous than the guy pictured next to Jenner at that link who's missing half his limbs.

I really can't take all this shit seriously.

There was something else I was going to write here, but I've forgotten it. *sigh* I remembered it!

Today I got an e-mail from someone claiming that she had left me a voice mail, and was e-mailing me about an employment opportunity. "Just left you a voicemail about your resume and I\'d [SIC] like to better understand what you are looking for," the email said.

Checked my phone: no calls today, no voice mails. This e-mail is therefore spam and goes right to the bit bucket.

It's like--if you're going to claim you left me a voice mail, at least leave one, you know? What makes you think I'm going to be interested in talking to you if you're going to lie to my face when you're introducing yourself to me?

Anyway it turns out to be for a service, not a job opportunity, so it's not like I'm throwing away an opportunity, here. If this had been about a job I'd be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

...the other day I was checking my e-mail and got all worried about the fact that my e-mails--stored on-line--only go back to May 27 of last year. Were they pruning old e-mails?

Then while working on a couple of things here I realized that I didn't start working that way until I got Floristica which was in late May. *sigh*

Plus side: I have all the e-mails. Minus side: I still have to set up the e-mail client on Floristica. Argh etc.

Could be worse, though.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day. I hope it is; I have some work to do outside.

I stopped by the parts store today in a vain effort to buy a new valve stem for the Jeep. I was stymied by the fact that there were two types--at least two types--available, and I have no idea which one is I have to remove the old one first before I can buy its replacement. What a pain in the butt.

So, I want to get that attended to, and a few other chores. If I can just keep from sleeping until 4:30 tomorrow maybe I'll actually get something done.
