#4790: So, the F-16 is better than the F-35.
"More technology" does not mean "better". The F-35 has had all sorts of problems, stupid things like bad pilot oxygen systems and the inability to withstand flight in an electrical storm.
Of course the military is all-in for this piece of shit.

This is what I really wanted to get to: Beats headphones contain about $17 worth of parts. What's the labor run to assemble and package the things? $3? $5? Let's be extra-generous and assume that it costs $10 per unit for them to pay the people who assemble and test the things, and let's further assign another $13 per unit to overhead such as operating the factory, paying for power, and whatever else. That would make Apple's cost per unit about $40.
For a cost of $40, Apple sells these things for two hundred dollars. That's a markup of 500%.
Nice work if you can get it.
...it's a total ripoff, is what it is, but there isn't--can't be--a law against people spending their money on stupid crap.

Well, June is just about over. The forecast suggests that I might be able to cut the grass on Friday. Here's hoping.
