Without any warning whatsoever, our property taxes went up 13%. Mrs. Fungus and I made our plans and budget based on the tax figure from past years, expecting it to remain constant as it had since 2011; since Mom died I've been looking at this bill every year and it has not changed one whit...until now.
Story of my life: even when I do everything right, I still get boned. *sigh*
So my game plan is to pay as much as I can of the first installment on Tuesday, when I have time to call the assessor's office and find out what I need to do in order to make that happen; and then get the rest paid as soon as is feasible. It's annoying but at least we have some time to get it done.

Besides that, this week I get to take Mrs. Fungus' car to the body shop to get it estimated, and start the claims process, and-and-and; I'm going to have a busy week. Argh etc. Well, that's life in the world of being an adult; your mommy ain't gonna do everything for you. At least, not if you're living like a real adult.

Oh, dick!
Black lives don’t matter. How do I know this? Because if black lives really mattered, blacks would stop killing each other. Blacks would stop committing genocide against themselves by aborting more children than they allow to be born. Blacks would stop consigning generations to poverty by having the majority of their children out-of-wedlock. And blacks would stop treating education as punishment and instead treat it as an opportunity.Cue the cries of raciss!
Until blacks start changing these pathologies, the whole "Black Lives Matter" movement, with its insistence that everyone has to change except for blacks themselves is nothing more than Progressive kabuki theater aimed at diverting attention from the fact that Democrats are facilitating self-destructive behaviors in the black community and that blacks are using the Democrat propaganda machine as an excuse to avoid the terrible (but not insurmountable) challenges that really claim black lives.

America has the largest oil reserves in the world. And if we had an energy policy which made any sense at all, we wouldn't be paying $2.40 a gallon for gas in the Fungal Vale.

Well, the source code for Apollo is available on-line. Now if we could just get some spacecraft....

Watched The VVitch this evening, and it was kind of a letdown. (They spelled it just like that, with the "double u" respresented by a pair of Latin U's, hence VV rather than W.) The music was too loud and the voices too soft; that combined with the period vernacular made it hard to know what the hell the people were saying.
Still, it was not a total waste of time, either. Just don't need to see it again, is all.

Looking over the schedule for the next couple weeks, I'm dismayed to see that I'm scheduled to be in at 9 AM on weekends. I don't like this. I want it to end.

Remote controlled lawnmower. I saw one of these being used by an IDOT road crew a few weeks back. Pretty interesting device.

Okay, I'm going to try writing a little something. Hopefully it won't suck.
