AoSHQ has my dietary philosophy down to a T. Keep calm, ignore the fearmongers, eat what you want in moderation. (Except maybe at tax time.)

Government suggesting nutrition and monitoring what foods are potentially harmful is an extension of progressive politics in the early 20th century. It's also almost totally unnecessary, but it pays bureaucrats and scientists who need government grant money lest they be forced to get real jobs. If government-paid nutritionists weren't able to issue pronouncements about the safety of broccoli, why, they'd have to work or something. You know?

The so-called "anti-fascist" idiots are unhappy that the police don't agree with them.Vox Day sums it up neatly:
It might seem a bit ironic that the state-worshippers of the Left are attempting to complain about the state actually fulfilling its primary role of maintaining public order, but then, if they were intellectually coherent, they wouldn't be antifa. And nothing upsets leftists and SJWs like the knowledge that the authorities aren't running cover for them.
"Incoherent" is putting it nicely. Antifa's politics is a combination of communism and anarchy, two things which don't mix, kind of like oil and water. Communism can't work without dictatorship, which is naturally the antithesis of anarchy.

...but of course the American left has functioned in an environment where they've been able to do what they want; only now that their horseshit is starting to impinge on the rights of others, the forebearance has come to an end, and they don't like that.

Well, tough shit.

This is why I don't like glass-top desks.

I disagree with a few of these. The Geo Tracker and the AMC Gremlin were neat vehicles. The Subaru Impreza's coupe form looked pretty good, especially the WRX. The Matador was "okay", not especially pretty but not ugly, either. And the Pinto was a very popular car compared to some of the others on that list.

But the rest of them? Butt-ugly. And they forgot to include the Honda Element.

Another Oglaf that I laughed out loud at. It took me a few moments. The last panel looks like it doesn't have a punch line, but it does--and when I saw it, I laughed and laughed.

Elysium Project has Vanilla WoW. Gonna give it a try.
