#5686: Stator ordered.
It's an aftermarket part (they all are--let's face it, the bike is 36 years old) bought from an eBay seller for $33.50, shipped. I have some confidence that this will correct the charging issue and then I can actually ride my motorcycle sweat my ass off at the new job I'll certainly be getting now that my motorcycle will be repaired.
Delivery is due Wednesday of next week. For a mere $55 extra I could have had it rushed to me via FedEx and had it Saturday. I'm not in that much of a hurry; I've been fiddling with this thing for a couple of months, after all.
And now I can put that out of my mind for a little while. You never know; it may get here sooner.
