As noted previously, I'm having a grand old time clearing the junk out of the house. It's kind of a treasure hunt, in a way, which makes it fun; but a treasure hunt is an adventure, and there is no adventure without adversity.

What appeals to me is the catharsis of dumping old crap no one wants. The house feels better without all that junk in it, and I like going into the cleaned space and seeing how uncluttered it is, everything neatly sorted and stowed. Shipshape, even. I can almost hear Mom cheering me on for having the guts to throw away the useless dreck she lacked the willpower to toss, herself.

I'm looking forward to seeing the attic bare of stuff. Very, very little will go back into the attic if I can help it. My goal here is a life without clutter, without useless junk.

When the junk is all gone? I don't know what I'll do then. Well, there's lots more to do, anyway, so we'll have to see, but we're gonna do what we can.
