#5769: Why, oh why, would they EVER fake the data?

Oh, look at this: Australian Bureau of Meteorology caught faking climate data. They adjusted upwards the low temperatures reported by some weather stations.

Why would they ever do that?

...though, good luck making Congress comply with an executive order, especially one they don't like.

I agree: repeal the 17th Amendment.

The problem of a gelatinous right-wing is not confined solely to North America. After all, it is the Tory party--the alleged right-wing--which has told Britain that "...[T]he government was going to end combustion engines in cars without having the infrastructure planned to accommodate millions of electric cars".

As previously noted, moving their transportation system to all-electric is going to require approximately fifteen hundred new power plants, and they won't be able to do it with windmills and solar panels, either. Further, the power plants are just the start; there'll also need to be the distibution system upgrades to handle all that extra electricity.

I mean, sure, most electric vehicles will be charged overnight, but that just means that there will be no "off-peak" times for the power grid any longer. As daytime load drops (people go home from work or whatever) nighttime load will ramp up as they get home and plug in their cars to recharge for the next day.

Decidedly not "conservative".

On repealing Obamacare:
It’s a stunning admission from a former member of the party leadership—that the linchpin of GOP electoral strategy for the better part of a decade was a fantasy, a flame continually fanned solely because, when it came to midterm elections, it worked.
GOP doesn't want to repeal Obamacare, but they told us they were going to. It's time either for them to do what they promised, or be de-elected soonest.

Since the Bagster is not going to work, I'm now requesting quotes for dumpsters.

The Bagster is 3 cubic yards. I need at least 10. 20 would be better. Once I have the dumpster, I'm going to transfer everything in the Bagster to the dumpster. Then I'm going to put more trash in the dumpster, until every last piece of trash is gone from my home. Then I will request pickup for the dumpster, they will take it away, and I will be a lot happier.

I still can't believe I filled the damned thing in two hours. Not even. I spent more time than that working on clearing out the attic yesterday, but moving the wood took two hours. Shit.

...and I found a 10-yard dumpster for under $300 all-in, 3 tons' weight, and they're dropping it off tomorrow. Hoody hoo!

But that's tomorrow. Today, I get to clean the house! Vacuum, wash dishes, wash some clothes, etcetera. It's a full life if you don't weaken!
