#5986: All is quiet again.

But when I talk in the kitchen, it echoes. There's nothing in the family room to absorb sound--no carpet, no furniture, no curtains, even--so it just resounds. The thin plastic curtain separating it from the rest of the house does nothing.

Meanwhile I grabbed my meter and checked the fixture in the computer room. Switch has died--on or off, same reading on the switched side. I'm going to go get another one at the same time I get the spices for the brine for the turkey. I'm pretty sure I'm out of allspice....

Once that's all done I think I'll repair to bed for a nap. Woke up in the middle of the night again, couldn't fall asleep again right away. Up before 8 AM, too.

Cats can't figure out the new plastic wall. Echoes from the room beyond scare them. It's kind of funny, actually.

Oh well. Off I go.
