I only learned of the movie's existence this past Tuesday. It opened Friday. Infinity War is what Marvel has been leading up to with all the various movies it's been doing--Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc--and it's just an amazing movie.
Movie started at 4:30, We got out of the theater at 7:30, and Mrs. Fungus was still effusing about it five hours later. Can't blame her: that movie is good.
Mrs. Fungus wanted to go see Ready Player One and because of the occasion I agreed a double feature was warranted, but the next available showing was 11 PM. Got dinner and went home, but she started fading out around 9:30 and decided we'd stay home. I'm ambivalent about seeing that movie in the theater, so that was fine.
Ended up watching silly TV shows and fiddling with our phones for the rest of the night. The end of an awful movie, Mr. Sardonicus, on the Svengoolie show; Batman, with John Astin as the Riddler; Star Trek, "Spock's Brain"; and after that, Battlestar Galactica, "Fire in Space".
I'm not exactly sure, but I think "Fire in Space" is when Battlestar Galactica jumped the shark. A military vessel with a ventilation system that connects thirty different compartments such that if one is holed, they all lose pressure. *sigh* And that's just the beginning of it....
Oh well. We had fun.
