Tomorrow I need to change the oil in Mrs. Fungus' car, and I have some other things I want to attend to. The Jeep's front end has a massively bad wobble all of the sudden, at that same critical speed it always had it at but much worse than ever. Goes away below that speed, settles down to a mild shimmy above it. WTF. Anyway, hoping to dig into the front end tomorrow and see what's what, and I'm going to rotate the tires since that hasn't been done for a long time.
Sure would be nice to take the motorcycle for a spin. Probably won't happen, though.
Today I finally got the eye exam I've been putting off since the glasses debacle last August. And guess what?
Going to a real eye doctor, one who cares about getting your prescription right, was worth the wait and effort. Turns out that my RX is not the -9.0 in each eye that Lens Crafters said it was; in fact my eyesight has improved slightly and is now -8.5 in both eyes, spherical (no astigmatism). Those glasses were no good because they were the wrong damned prescription.
Eye doc also gave me a 10-pack of one-day contact lenses so I could see how they were. Hooray!
Next up, work. Got to work half an hour earlier than I'd expected to (I had pre-arranged to come in at 11:30) and work was work, as usual. Got off at the usual time and drove home with the windows open and the wind whipping hair into my eyes, so I decided to go get my hair cut.
Windows are open, it's warm in the house. Nice weather.
