Mrs. Fungus and I slept in today, well after noon. She's been working very hard, and my schedule is slipping around the clock to accommodate my new work schedule, so it wasn't an issue for me, either. Though I did wake up around 5:30 when Maki decided that the best place to throw up would be on Daddy's feet.
Literally, he hopped onto the bed, and then hack hack hack hack so I shoved him onto the floor, and that's where he erupted. It wasn't much, but it would have vexed me considerably more than I was if he'd done it on me.
Anyway, after that I was up for a couple of hours; long enough to see it get light out and begin to snow, then went back to bed.
About 5-ish I told Mrs. Fungus she had a choice: she could stay on the sofa and be nice and warm and we'd have sloppy joes for dinner; otherwise, we could go to Reuben's Mexican Grill for dinner. Me, I had to go out regardless, because we were out of some sundries, but she had a choice She chose to go out for dinner, so I took her to our favorite Mexican spot.
We left there stuffed, did the shopping, came home; then I fired up the little snowblower.
I haven't used it for years--not since winter 2015, I think. (Edit to add: December 2016, it was.) 2017 and 2018 I used the big one; but there wasn't enough snow on the ground today to justify that one, which is just as well considering it's still buried. The little one was easily accessible--more by happy accident than design--but it wouldn't start on the gas that was in it, which had more-or-less degraded to "shellac" in the intervening time.
Dumped it, put in fresh, and it started after a few yanks; put in more and got to work. Blew down the driveway quite handily.
Don't think it would have been that easy if I hadn't paid extra for the 2-cycle oil with StaBil in it.
I wouldn't have bothered to blow down the driveway but for the weather forecast, which says temps will remain below freezing for the next week at least, and promises there'll be more snow in a week's time. I'll believe that when I see it, but the snow's not going to melt soon enough to justify leaving it. If it were going to be 45° and rainy tomorrow--but it's not. Oh well.
Tomorrow I need to change the oil in Mrs. Fungus' car, and I need to sit down in the bathroom and work on spackling. I'm hoping to paint the ceiling, too.

Right now, though, WoW.
