If you live in a country with a fairly robust medical system that vaccinates, oh, 98% of the population, your chances of catching it if unvaccinated yourself are fairly small. In general you simply won't be exposed to the disease because no one around you can catch it. This is "herd immunity".
However, if the powers that be let, oh, 100,000 illegal aliens swarm across the border every month, and they're from countries that do not reliably vaccinate, there's a good chance one of them may have an active measels infection, and because it's so contagious you could catch it from him.
Back in the olden days, when America restricted immigration, people coming in had to be quarantined. Not so now, oh no! Can't do that because it might violate someone's civil rights! We have to let them all in with whatever diseases they may have, whether it be measels, tuberculosis, hepatitis, typhus, or what have you.
Lice, too, as one commentor at that post points out.
The sudden rise of third-world disease is not because a stupid few refuse to vaccinate. It's because we're bringing in carriers by the truckload.
Related: the mass migration is supported by people who ought to know better. Of course this particular Pope is pretty much on the side of the other people sponsoring those migrations. The $500,000 the church is spending on supporting those migrants would be better spent on sending them home.

The Representative from Jihad, Ilhan Omar, does not know dick about Christianity, and it shows. The left would love it if they could recast Jesus as a Palestinian, because Palestine is a communist front. The problem is, though, that Jesus was a jew.
The area which is currently claimed to be Palestine was part of Israel during Jesus' time. Bethlehem was a jewish city.
None of which will stop these asshat leftists from trying to rewrite history, of course, because 99% of the time lies and twisted statements are all they have. They certainly can't tell the truth about anything because it doesn't support their positions at all.

The left HATES it when you use plain language to describe the things they support. It used to be that if someone tried to abort a baby and it was born alive regardless, that baby was protected from further attempts on its life. But what the Democrats are trying to do here is to allow a woman to abort her child any time, even right after it's born if she decides she doesn't want it.
The thing is, this is well after it's a "my body, my choice" issue. The baby is born, it's alive, it's able to survive if cared for--and at that point letting it die is murder regardless of what you think of abortion. It's murder through negligence.
Makes me sick. I'm not surprised, though; the left loves killing innocents.

The bigger 747s Boeing thought about. I like the long-range 1,000 passenger version. As the article notes, that's with 1970s seating, not 2019 seating. With 2019 seating you could probably max out the carrying capacity of the airplane. "Stuff it with people until it cannot take off, then lighten the load slightly!" Something like that.

If you have a Mac with Thunderbolt 3, you can add a Radeon 56 for $1199. (Ars Technica)As I said, "heh".
If you have a PC, $299.

I don't know why you gits are complaining. This is what you voted for. You voted for politicians who don't care to enforce vagrancy laws. You voted for your city governments to be nice to the homeless and not put them in jail. "They can't help it!"
This is what you wanted. I know you didn't realize that when you were patting yourselves on the back for being so compassionate; I understand that "unintended consequences" are not something you think ever happen. But the fact is, you voted for this.
If you want it to go away, you're going to have to elect people who will enforce laws against vagrancy.

Fallout from letting the third-rate actor go.
Better not destroy any evidence, either.

Electric cars actually produce more carbon over their lifecycles than fueled cars do. "When CO2 emissions linked to the production of batteries and the German energy mix--in which coal still plays an important role--are taken into consideration, electric vehicles emit 11% to 28% more than their diesel counterparts...."
So, yeah, there's your frickin' "renewable" horseshit right there.

Well! Monday's post going up on Tuesday. Oh well. It was busy tonight, and work comes first. Then I had to spend time with my honey, and after tucking her in I did the dishes. Such a stimulating life I lead.
