Having run through Diablo II with the new 1.11 upgrade in Normal, Nightmare, and Hell modes, I wanted to start a new character.
It had been a long time since I played an assassin, so I thought, WTF, let's go.
I gave up giving my D2 characters "serious" names a couple of years ago. Since then I've had a paladin named "SirKlankofSteele", a necromancer named "DrSpootenheim", a rogue named "Busty"; several Sorceresses including "PissyBitch" and "Aakop"; characters whose classes I don't remember named "Bitsy-Chan", "MissyCup", and "D-Bitch". (The latter two are bra cup size jokes: "Miss E Cup", for example.) There's also a guy named "Spootnik" and my necromancer "MR-Acererak".
There are more but I don't feel like looking for them right now.
Anyway, I wanted to give my assassin a name related to her profession. Like, when she was born, she was born into a family of assassins, or maybe her parents just wanted her to become one.
So I named her "Slaught-Her".
And I laughed.
