#7177: The funny part

The funny part of the whole chair debacle is, for yucks I sent an email to the company about the chair breaking, and they replied asking me for a copy of the invoice and photos of the damaged part. I think they might be sending me a new part under warranty; wouldn't that be a hoot? Then I'd have to decide which chair to use: my nice new one with metal parts but without a headrest, or the other one?

...of course it's not too late to take this one back to the store, but I hate doing things like that with furniture that you assemble.

Ah, well. First world problems, I guess.

Um, fuck no. Anyone asks (or tells) me to kneel, my response will be approximately, "I only kneel for Jesus Christ, and you ain't him." And not nicely.

I refuse to kowtow to your communist bullshit. This is America, and in America we are not required to kneel to anyone.

Colin Powell voted Democrat in the last three Presidential elections and endorsed the last three Democrat contenders so doesn't that make him a Democrat?

Of course if he registers as a Republican...

BLM is protesting a pittance of murders, compared to the number of blacks killed by other blacks.

During the BLM rioting and looting, the black-on-black murder rate in Chicago was the highest it's been in sixty years.

Blacks are killing each other at a vastly higher rate than other races combined, but strangely no one is talking about the fact that most murder victims in Chicago--and most of the murderers--are young black men. Gang members.

By the way, the book burning has already started. One of the biggest features of any leftist junta is burning books. Bookstores have been torched in the riots already; it's just not quite organized yet. But NPR's little article about "white privilege" and the books whites keep is a step in that direction.

What the hell is in Sparta, IL? Apparently anitfa is going to mob the town and riot and destroy farms and livestock.
Today Natural News has learned that Antifa operatives are organizing a plan to bus large numbers of Antifa terrorists to the vicinity of Sparta, Illinois, where they will be directed to target rural white Americans by burning farm houses and killing livestock. The purpose of the attack, according to sources, is so that Antifa can send a message to white America that "not even rural whites are safe" from the reach of Antifa, and that if their radical left-wing demands are not yet, all of America will burn (not just the cities).
And if you're a farmer in that area, you get everyone together and make sure everyone's got AR-15s with plenty of spare magazines. No one in your group wears a mask, so that if you see people wearing masks being violent and destructive, you shoot them dead.

Defunding the police is the first step towards replacing law enforcement with political enforcement, which lets you arrest people for expressing the wrong opinions.

I'll grant you this is over at ZeroHedge, but "COVID-19 Has Properties That Have Never Been Found In Nature Before".

...if this is confirmed by other sources, though, we're right back at the beginning: COVID-19 is a bioweapon.

Thanks, China.

Really thanks: two people in the facility I work at have tested positive for COVID-19 and management is urging all employees to get tested. I don't have any contact with the 3rd shift production guys so I'm not really an exposure risk; in fact I think I had actual face-to-face interaction with exactly two office workers last week. Most of the time I sit in my office alone and do my job via remote-control, as much as I can.

Suppose I'll go get tested; no rush, though, I don't think.

Anyway, we'll see how bad it is in the 3rd shift guys. I don't expect us to shut down. I'd bet that we actually have more cases than that in 3rd shift, but as far as I know the first case was the only symptomatic one (fever, I've heard). So out of how many workers, 1 with symptoms, how many more will test positive but have none?

As for me, I need to make some tacos. I was going to cut the grass when I got home from work, but Mrs. Fungus wanted ice cream and with the COVID-19 horseshit the Cone Cottage closes early. So--dessert before dinner!

...rode the bike to work after lunch, and then took the long way home. Once home, didn't even take my gear off, but got her bike out. It started RIGHT up; I took it to the gas station and put carb cleaner in the tank and filled her up, then took her for a short high-speed spin. Didn't miss a beat, but that headwind was pretty brutal and I couldn't get my speed above 60-ish. Well--250cc; what do you expect?

What I was impressed with, though, is how little vibration comes through the handlebars. That's kind of nice.
