#7253: I missed the derecho!!!
I was in a soundproof room smack dab in the middle of a 5-story-high machine that makes silica and didn't even know it was raining let alone that an epic storm was roaring past. Sweating my ass off (in a room that should be cool but isn't because the AC doesn't work) and swapping server cables.

On further reflection I decided to take down the rant I had here. I just didn't feel right about leaving it up, even though it was carefully sanitized of all identifying information for the parties involved. Probably better this way.
Oh well. Pity I missed that storm going through.
