#7489: We don't work for you!

The only reason I'm skeptical of this stems from the fact that someone who is a general in the armed forces is not going to talk to a sitting politician like that, even if he holds her in complete contempt.
Pelosi claimed that the National Guard's "weekend warriors" were ill-prepared to repel an army of "mad Trumpists." Battle-hardened marines, however, were more capable of defeating "rabble rousers," she said. "You have the best trained soldiers in the world, and America needs them."

Gen. Berger was unmoved. The only way Marines would be deployed, he told her, was if President Trump himself issued that order.

"If you want us to help combat his supporters, I suggest you get him on the phone and tell him that. If he orders me to, I will. Otherwise, I suggest you listen really hard to the words escaping your cracked, poisonous lips; they're tantamount to treason," Gen. Berger allegedly told her.
Remember when that one congressmoron was asking a Naval admiral about the risk of Guam tipping over if too many Navy personnel were there? That guy didn't even crack a smile when he answered that dipshit's utterly moronic question. That is the level of self-control people in high command have.

I don't doubt that Pelosi called him and asked him to help her. I also don't doubt that the answer was "No." But I'd bet that the answer was, "No, ma'am. Have a good day."

...as satisfying as the quotes are, believe me.

There are now 20,000 troops deployed in DC. This goes far beyond normal security for any inauguration I've ever heard of. And she wanted another brigade!

The Marines don't help tyrants. They put tyrants out of business.
