#1962: So apparently Obama's summit fell flat.

I did not watch it, but all the reports say that it did not help Obama. The Republicans came off well; the Democrats came off as whiny bloviators.

I hope--I desperately, fervently pray--the Republicans continue to act as if they know that ObamaCare is poison and do nothing to support it, help it, or allow it. If the Democrats want this abortion so badly, let them vote for it! We can't possibly stop them if they all vote for the thing.

Otherwise, let's move on to other issues.

Dennis: "Meanwhile, in the real world...."

He quotes a Washington Post article: "Unemployment claims filed last week rose unexpectedly, coming in at 496,000, up 22,000 from the previous week."

...there's that word again, "unexpected". You'd think the economists--after all this time--would start expecting this kind of news. This "unexpected" nonsense has been going on for months.

The media is doing its damnedest to talk up the economy, the same way it did its damnedest to talk down the economy during the Bush years.

Poor Al Gore. Even the hippies at Apple no longer want him around. Well, hell, the guy's got enough damn money; why doesn't he go retire and relax?

This is funny because it's 100% true.
