#2401: Man, I'm tired.
Well, last night I slept, mostly. I woke up at 5-ish this morning, had a shower, and food; and stayed up in order to take Mom to a 10 AM doctor's appointment.
Of course I needed food after that and she wanted Wendy's, so I hit the bookstore first.Kimi ni Todoke
vol 6 was out, so I snatched it...annnnd
I grabbed another four volumes of Lovely Complex
. Bad me.
Volume 7 of KnT is due out Feb 15. *sigh* Volume 6 got us to the Christmas episode of the anime, which is like ep 21. Very soon (maybe the latter half of vol 7) we'll be into territory which will be covered by season two of the anime, which probably won't be out before the summer season of 2011 at the earliest.
Anyway--read two volumes of LC and the KnT; and I'm making myself not read more right now; instead I'm going to bed once this post is done.

I also got eps 10-15 of ToraDora!
dubbed to DVD--in the wee hours of the morning, after my shower--and noticed there was a piece of background music (BGM) I really liked; so I went to BakaBT and found the collection of music for that show and torrented it.
Naturally, the track I wanted is nowhere to be found. There are five CDs of music in the pack on BakaBT, and none of them has the BGM I liked. Argh.
I checked the entirety of each track, because sometimes they'll cut two or three shorter BGMs together into one track.)
This doesn't happen as often as it used to. With Tenchi Muyo! (Ryo-ou-ki)
there was one BGM I really wanted. I bought every TM! OST I could find, and none
of them had it. Finally I gave up.
...years later Sailor V picked up some box set or something and--to my surprise--there it was.
But in more recent years, anime OSTs have become more complete. You might have to buy three-four-five CDs to find the track you want, but sooner or later you'll get it. (I forget how many Gundam W
OSTs I've got. Ditto for His and Her Circumstances
and Akazukin Chacha
and Wedding Peach
. But I got the tracks I wanted.)
There appears to be only one OST for ToraDora!
, so in all liklihood I'm never going to get to hear this piece of music without people speaking in Japanese over the top of it. *sigh*

I just noticed that I call junk mail--the real printed paper junk mail delivered by the US Postal Service--"spam". Well, why not? That's what we call junk e-mail, after all.

Last night's ep of House, MD
was pretty good. Favorite part: Amber Tamblyn's character, Martha Masters, being the one to figure out what the disease of the week was. (Hurray for an ep without a Wilson-inspired House epiphany!)

I can't believe it's mid-November already
. Thanksgiving is in nine freakin' days

The release of Cataclysm
draws ever nearer. My biggest worry about it is that they'll remove all the beautiful scenery from the game and replace it all with ruination and desert. You know, like Searing Gorge and Desolace.
One of the things I like about the game as it is now is that I'm still finding scenic vistas which surprise and delight me, and every once in a while I find myself just stopping and looking at the world around me because it's just beautiful to behold. I'm worried that Cataclysm
will change that.
I'm really unhappy that Ashenvale is being destroyed, because that zone contains some of the most beautiful scenery in the game. Hopefully at least one of the zones which opens with that game will be beautiful like Ashenvale is.
Well, I suppose I could always dust off the P3 and make it into a private WoW server. Yeah, and I'll also singlehandedly write a program that does better net searches than Google....
