#4105: The ship of fools have to pay for their rescue.

Actually it's not the fools themselves who have to pay for it but the underwriter for the ship's owner. That's right; the ship's insurance is going to foot the $2.4 million bill for saving a bunch of climate doofuses from their own stupidity.

4,436 pages of vintage pictures and comments on same. That's quite a thread they've got going, there.

Forecast for the next few days features various combinations of wind, cold, and snow, at differing intensities. Today is sunny and severe clear, but they're saying "snow" tonight. Welcome to winter!

There's a wind chill advisory out, too, because we're having strong winds--and "strong winds" means that if it does snow tonight (90% likely, they say) it is going to blow, both literally and figuratively.

Well, Mrs. Fungus has new tires and I have four-wheel drive. That's gonna have to do.

I belatedly realized that for $10 and a little effort I can re-activate my old phone, and that way I could get the pictures off of it if I can figure out a way to make it download images via SMS. That's the real trick, isn't it? *sigh*

Last night, the original Ormus on Aggramar finally hit 90th level. It's been a long road, but he made it, and now I can start gearing him to run raids with the guild over there. That ought to be fun.

Right now, however, I need to get my butt in the shower.

#4106: Sade, SHUT UP.

At 9:15 I was able to shut off the BluRay player near the precinct, and I told myself I'd been wanting to do that for four hours. Reason? It was playing a Sade concert DVD; before that it was playing Beyonce.

Why can't we put movies on that stupid thing?

Anyway, now I (naturally) have "Smooth Operator" going through my head--just the chorus--and it's driving me buggy.

(Well--more buggy. This is me we're talking about.)

Apparently it had been a zoo of idiots all day today. I was in about an hour before everyone else was scheduled to leave, and as I was arriving (before I clocked in) some woman was screaming at one of the Consultation Agents. I have no idea why; but I was warned by another CA that it had been like that all day, and further it had been like that all day the day before, and that there were two pickups scheduled which were characterized as "combative".

Everyone left at their scheduled time; and after they left I proceeded to handle exactly three clients--none of whom were angry or anything--and otherwise I worked on open box stuff and tried not to lose my sanity to boredom.

I am not complaining; I think I came out on the better end of the deal this time, though, even if I didn't sell anything.

Anyway, I'm tired and only have a little while before Mrs. Fungus gets home, and I'll have to cook something for dinner. It's a party!
