#7098: Today was--

Today was a clusterfuck and I'm glad I've got tomorrow off.

So, it's entirely possible that COVID-19 came to California earlier than anyone suspected. The interesting thing is that California isn't seeing the kind of spread and casualty count that other states are.

Of course we don't actually know when the thing started in China, because lying communists are liars, and all we really know is APPROXIMATELY WHEN the thing started to get really bad in China.

So if it started earlier, and spread farther, then California might have a sizable number of people who were infected with the thing and didn't know it--remember that about 80% of the people who get COVID-19 don't show any symptoms at all--which would explain why the thing hasn't spread through CA like wildfire.

...and if that turns out to be the case, if this thing was in California in December or January, then END THE FRICKING LOCKDOWNS AND LET PEOPLE GO BACK TO WORK ALREADY.

I had to wait in line to get into the fricking grocery store today, and there's no reason for imposing such restrictions. It doesn help! THIS IS BULLSHIT.

We used to call them the "Clinton News Network" and now they're the "ChiCom News Network". It warms the cockles of my heart to see how the Trump administration deals with CNN. It's about bleeding time they got called out on their bullshit.

California is not currently a "nation-state" but if you bitches what to secede, I'm all for it. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, and by the way we're going to (or at least we would, in a just world) impose some pretty hefty tariffs on the things we sell you, especially stuff like electricity. We can live without avocadoes a lot longer than you guys can live with just the generating capacity you have within the borders of your "nation-state".

You want to be a separate country, you go right ahead, but being your own country means you need either to buy or to produce all your own damned energy. There's no bailouts, no buyouts, no nothing from the United States after the Republic of California goes its own way. You'll also need to field your own military, because while you'll enjoy the same protection that Canada does from invasion etc, we're not going to step in and solve all your problems for you.

So, when Mexico decides they want to take California for their own? Too bad, so sad.

Well, it's Thursday night, and I'm going to relax now. Whee!
