#7889: The own goals keep coming

A few things about the Rittenhouse trial. First off, witness said that the prosecution tried to get them to change their testimony.

Second, it turns out that police had a warrant to search a cell phone, but the prosecution told him not to do it, so the search warrant was never executed. The phone had, on it, exculpatory evidence. So, prosecution deliberately tried to keep exculpatory evidence from being found by police and therefore entered into the record.

This just keeps getting better and better.

Especially since the judge is taking steps to prevent jury intimidation. Good!

Yes, the cost-per-mile for electric cars is higher.
A mid-priced internal combustion car that gets 33 miles per gallon would cost $8.58 in overall costs to drive 100 miles at $2.81 a gallon, the study found. But a mid-priced EV, such as Chevrolet Bolt, Nissan Leaf or a Tesla Model 3, would cost $12.95 to drive 100 miles in terms of costs that include recharging the vehicle using mostly a commercial charger.

On a yearly basis, assuming the mid-priced cars traveled 12,000 miles, it would cost $1,030 to drive an internal combustion car and $1,554 to drive an EV.
And that doesn't include the price premium that exists after democrat policies cause the price of electricity to "necessarily skyrocket".

It occurs to me that the dirt bike is very nearly 50 years old.

Vintage 1972! I should get after it this winter and rebuild it and make it nifty again.

It's been a while since I played WoW. Just haven't been that interested, I guess. Too busy with other things. You know how it is.

Yeah. That's all. Oh well.
