That is so awesome. Going to the link posted at the end of the video leads to an interesting two-wheel-drive hydrostatic dirt bike. I want one.

Proof that if you can shape metal, you can do whatever the hell you want to. Damn it, I need to get the garage cleaned out....

I missed last night's earthquake. I slept right through it.

Chinese weapons to be used in upcoming Zimbabwe civil war. Bet on it.

Another take on Zimbabwe. It sounds like Mugabe's government wanted to cut a deal with the opposition, but the opposition (foolishly) insisted on following the rule of law: Mugabe's government lost the election. Unfortunately, "rule of law" is a nice theory in countries like Zimbabwe but unfortunately it only applies when Mugabe and his cronies want it to.

Chinese are upset that West is calling China out on its human rights violations. Sorry, but I think the free world should continue to lecture China on human rights. China clearly doesn't understand the concept.

Yeah, but continue to call it a "depression" until a Demokrat is in the White House. It looks like the impending "depression" may, in fact, only end up being a recession after all, and last maybe a year, if economic indicators continue to behave this way.

Something you can't teach in California: "Gay sex kills." It's worse for you than smoking: "homosexual conduct shortens the lifespan of 'gays' by an astounding '8 to 20 years' – more than twice that of smoking."

Wow, we've finally found something that's worse for you than smoking.

Can't understand why the perpetrator didn't just leave a note? Maybe it's because people keep parking there regardless. Here's an idea: if you park in a no-parking zone, expect bad things to happen.

No sympathy here.

Nor for this: 19-year-old moron kid sideswipes a police car while eating and talking on a cell phone, and is then surprised that he's ticketed.

I have to ask, what the hell was he driving with? His feet?

Jerry Pournelle's web site posts a letter from a reader today with an excellent quote:

"If you look out into the long-term future and what you see looks like science fiction, it might be wrong. But if it doesn't look like science fiction, it's definitely wrong."
