#1211: A fine is not a tax.

Jalopnik responds to Illinois governor Blagojevich saying he wants to put speed cameras on the freeways with BS about "taxation without representation".

This "tax" is exceedingly simple to avoid: don't speed. That's all you've got to do in order to avoid paying it.

Something has to be done about the morons in this state who think the speed limit is a minimum. At least Blago is trying.

Ann Coulter writes another article about how quiet the mainstream press is keeping the John Edwards Love Child story. Heh.

Iran claims it can close the Strait of Hormuz. Can we do something about Iran now?

There's news to the effect that Hillary is planning to stir the pot in Denver during the Democrat convention. That'd be pretty sweet to see. So much for "unity".

Meanwhile, the Denver city council has outlawed possession of excreta with intent to distribute. I would like to know what techniques these radical lefties use to get poop into balloons.

Er...perhaps I would not, now that I think of it. Only a leftist would put shit in a balloon in order to throw it at police. Congratulations, guys: you're no better than monkeys.

I don't understand what their problem is. Is Barack Hussein Obama not enough of a leftist for them? What's the point of this "re-create '68" nonsense that's going around? (Other than lefty morons desperately pining for the salad days of their youths?)

And someone should point out to these dickheads that the '68 election ended up with Richard Nixon as President.

Or maybe not. Heh.

The heat wave passed. I got the grass cut, and it's even cooler today. Now I've got to take Mom out to various home improvement stores so she can pick out vinyl flooring and appliances.

$40,000 for a Lancer Evo? Hell no. $40,000 is too much for that car.

Especially when the accelerator is plastic.
