The Barak Hussein Obama campaign pulled an ad critical of McCain's inability to use a computer after they learned that McCain's lack of computer savvy is due to the fact that the Viet Cong didn't bother to care for the injuries he sustained both on crashing and from their interrogations.
If overseeing the BHO campaign is BHO's "executive experience" that qualifies him for the Presidency, the indications we can infer from this do not speak well for his executive ability, do they?

A former Clinton aide says that the press is losing credibility over its treatmant of Sarah Palin. He says the press is being harder on her than it is on BHO or Biden.
Big surprise, that.

I ended up working in Receiving almost all night, and now my nephrons hurt. I really, really have to start drinking more water when it's a freaking humid blast furnace in Receiving.
I mean, the low temperature was maybe 72°. And for some stupid reason the heaters come on if it gets too "cold". Argh

Sunspot #1001 has formed. It's the first sunspot in either three weeks or five weeks, depending on who you ask. The people who assign the numbers, though, say "five", so that's what I'm going with.
The sunspot record has to be kept a certain way, because we compare current-day readings--which are collected with highly sophisticated equipment--with readings from when a 2" refracting telescope was a brand-new, state-of-the-art, cutting-edge astronomical research platform. The astronomers of 1700 couldn't detect the proto-sunspots we can; and so the guys who make the official sunspot record end up using a set of criteria that ensure that the sunspot record of today compares properly to the sunspot records of yesteryear.

It's rained for about 18 hours; we finally got a bit of a break from the rain as the sun was coming up. The radar, however, shows that lots more is on the way.
I'm going to have to cut the grass with a scythe if this goes on. Fortunately, we actually have one--a real antique scythe--in the garage. Needs sharpening, though.
