Uh...okay.

Both Chicago newspapers face tough times. Not surprising. Neither one is suitable for more than wrapping fish; I only read the Sun-Times comics page, myself, and get 98% of my news from the Internet. The consistent and obvious left-wing bias of these papers is the main reason. The Tribune is allegedly "more conservative" than the Sun-Times but I've never noticed it. (What? "The Tribune endorsed McCain?" So what? McCain is a RINO.)
The problems facing the Chicago papers are the problems that face all newspapers these days. One problem is that people are sick of the media running down the USA.

"The Red Hand of Atheism" is another slam-dunk article by Vox Day. Worth reading, IMHO.

"...[A]ll over the world, temperatures have been dropping in a way wholly unpredicted by all those computer models which have been used as the main drivers of the [man-made global warming] scare." I need add nothing to that.
Except maybe this quote: "After several years flatlining, global temperatures have dropped sharply enough to cancel out much of their net rise in the 20th century."
And, "A scam, with no basis in science." Heh.

This is where they get you. And the worst part? You can't even declare bankrupcy. Student loans are excluded from bankruptcy--so if you get into a bad spot you're screwed.
It's another example of how the government holds everyone else to a different standard than the one to which it holds itself--exempting itself from the onerous practices it says everyone else must follow.

Apparently there was a bit of an Internet outage in the midwest last night. I wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that I couldn't log onto Aggramar, my preferred WoW server?
Anyway I got my fix by going to a server that was (judging by the timestamp) on the west coast and running around there--I created a new character named Cathexa, a Forsaken warlock.
It's pretty spooty to play an undead character, especially when you're given a quest to go kill a certain number of living people. I don't know how much of this I can take.
The warlock character class is pretty cool, though.
