Like, OMG! This is revolutionary! Never before has any human society thought that limiting promiscuity was actually a good idea!
...I am, of course, being sarcastic.

Zimbabwe now has a Z$1 trillion note. I mean, cripes, that's a 1 followed by 12 zeros. When are they planning to go to scientific notation?
Value of the Z$1,000,000,000,000 note: about $30. Right now, that is. By this time next week, probably $0.30, at the rate they're going. (Prices double about every day; I don't think I'm exaggerating.)
You can continue to print bigger numbers on the slips of paper, but it doesn't actually fix the problem with the currency, as Weimar Germany discovered. The one good thing about all this is that Zimbabwe doesn't have the resources (physical or economic) to turn into a military dictatorship and take over its neighbors.
That is, however, the only good thing about this, because thousands of people are dying needlessly. And it won't start to improve until Mugabe is gone, one way or another--and possibly not even then, depending on who takes his place.

Right now it's about twelve degrees warmer than it was last night, and we're looking for a high in the mid-twenties. I'm sure that'll feel like a day in Florida after the hideously low temperatures of the past couple days--except that I stayed out of the cold and inside the house.
If it actually was -20° early Friday, I could have gone outside and blown soap bubbles and watched them freeze in midair--except I wasn't going to go outside for any damn reason that wasn't a severe emergency, not in that kind of cold. I'm pretty sure -20° set a record; I know that it's never been that cold here in my life.
I'm thinking that if this happens again, I'm going to invest in a block heater for the Jeep. The good kind, the kind where you take out a freeze plug and put it in its place, and it has a heating element that sticks into the coolant in the engine block.
Problem is, I can't install that kind until it's reasonably warm out. *sigh*
