One sticker read, "This Veteran Buys American".
...on a Toyota. Yeah.

"Get ready for inflation and high interest rates," says the headline of this Wall Street Journal article, and the lede goes on, "The unprecedented expansion of the money supply could make the '70s look benign."
I don't think it takes much of a prophet to come to that conclusion. The article includes a graph showing that the money supply expanded by 110% percent in the past year. Jesus. (This article is by Arthur Laffer, who is IIRC the "Laffer" in "Laffer Curve", the author of "supply-side economics". EG "Reaganomics", which led to the largest peacetime economic expansion in history.)
Check out this quote from Investor's Business Daily:
ew IOUs for our children and grandchildren to struggle under. It took two centuries from the nation's founding until the early 1980s for Washington to overspend by a cumulative total of a trillion dollars. We have just accomplished the same feat in eight months.Welcome to the Obama Nation!

The Anchoress thinks that Obama is "Opposite Man". He says one thing and does the opposite.
Hypocritical? A Democrat? Noooo!

Scipio and Bookworm discuss the same thing: Obama, the President without a past.
Where are his college transcripts? His birth certificate? His student writings? He was editor of a prestigious college newspaper but what of his articles?
But the press remains utterly uncritical of Obama. Between leg tingles and incipient deification the press has no time or interest in making sure our President is on the up-and-up.

It would be nice if leftism is really dying out around the world. It would be nice. It would be nice if the Obama administration was the last gasp of leftism here, too.
But I'm not going to hold my breath. I'll relax after that jerk is out of office.
