#1694: 100 victims of socialized medicine
It's 200+ pages long. It's a PDF you can download.
It's at this web site.
It shows the horror of rationing.
Example: 21-year-old with acute appendicitis has to be taken 120 miles in an ambulance in order to wait 21 hours for an operation. End result: burst appendix, peritonitis, four extra days in the hospital.
When I had appendicitis, my appendix was out less than six hours after diagnosis. I was able to go home 28 hours after diagnosis. (I could have stayed another night in the hospital if I had wanted to; I was more interested in sleeping in my own bed.)
Which medical system is superior, again?
