DNC flack:
"The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists – the Taliban and Hamas this morning – in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize,” DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse told POLITICO. “Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize – an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride – unless of course you are the Republican Party. So let's look at this in slow motion.
1) 2001-2008: dissent is patriotic. Criticizing the President is good, just, and moral--even if your criticism takes the form of photoshopping a Hitler mustache onto him and surrounding him with swastikas and suggesting that he should be executed for war crimes.
2) 2009: if you are even faintly critical of the President, you're a terrorist.
Fine.
...how the hell can "every American" take "great pride" in Obama's non-accomplishment? Even setting aside the fact that Obama did nothing to deserve the thing, this is an award which has been given to people like Yassir Arafat, one of the biggest promoters of violence and death we've seen since Pol Pot! It's meaningless; it's been rendered meaningless by the very people who chose Obama to receive this year's prize!

I keep promising myself I'm not going to post more on this stupidity, and here I've done three posts in one day about it. *sigh*
I hope that'll do.
