There are six applicants for every job opening, on average. And because of the way I lost my job, naturally I'm not as "desirable", regardless of the actual facts of the situation.
But this takes the cake: how could anyone think taking your spouse to a job interview is a good idea? Unless the two of you are being hired as a team, it's a no-no, and that should be bloody obvious.

The GM 3800 V6 is a good engine, and many Fiero guys like them for engine swaps.
If you can get your hands on a good supercharged 3800, it will make your Fiero scream, and there's plenty of aftermarket support for the thing. You can do anything from intercooling to alcohol injection to changing the size of the pulley on the supercharger, which adds boost, and you don't have to do any engineering yourself as long as you can write good checks for the stuff.
I wouldn't mind having one in my Fiero, even the non-supercharged version; the naturally-aspirated version alone represents a hefty increase in power and torque over the stock Fiero V6.

So it's Sunday morning; Mom's not feeling up to going to church and I just finished breakfast.
It got down to freezing last night, as it did the night before. It's been a chilly autumn, so far.
Saturday night I watched anime. I played WoW most of the afternoon, and finally decided to watch some anime. It was Nerd Paradise.
I'd last watched the playlist Tuesday (the 6th) and had actually left four shows unwatched, so I simply appended the regular playlist to those unwatched eps; so, in order, I watched:
Ai Yori Aoshi 14It was quite a marathon session.
Hayate no Gotoku 2 7
Vampire Princess Miyu TV 19
Asu no Yoichi 6
Star Blazers 13
Kanon '06 10
Ai Yori Aoshi 15
Hayate no Gotoku 2 8
The nicest thing about Hayate no Gotoku 2 is how much Hinagiku we're getting. I'm assuming that fans of the show made it plain that Hina-cchi is their favorite; speaking for myself, as an inveterate fanboy I can say that Hina-cchi is my favorite character in the series, so whatever the reason, it makes me happy.
It's been a couple of episodes since Mayu was introduced in Ai Yori Aoshi and I absolutely hate the character.
Ep 13 of Star Blazers (Uchuu Senkan Yamato) has a huge flashback for Susumu Kodai ("Derek Wildstar" in the dub) showing how he came to join the space forces: he was originally a pacifist, but his parents were killed in one of the attacks on Earth.
Interesting bit: at the beginning of the series, Earth is totally brown and dry; Kodai's flashback looks back just seven years and shows us a green and habitable Earth. It didn't take long for the meteor bombs to screw up the world, did it?
And I still can't get over the original name for the quest object: "Cosmo Cleaner D". (In SB it was called "Cosmo DNA".) It sounds like a scouring powder.
