#1766: The line for health care is to the left of the line for license renewals...

Are you f-ing kidding me? "You will be able to go to the DMV in order to get health insurance."

I am so incredulous at this I've been rendered incapable of snark. There is only one comment I can summon at this: "Oh, God, is this going to suck."

Ann Coulter: "A Democrat is president and, once again, America finds itself in an "unwinnable war." I know Democrats will never learn, but I wish the voters would."

Crazy bitch has 17 abortions for crazy reason: "Irene Vilar said she had the abortions not from poverty or fear but as an extraordinary act of rebellion against her 'controlling' husband who did not want children."

Yeah, that will show him! If that bastard doesn't want children, have all kinds of sex with him, get pregnant, and then have an abortion! That'll show that bastard!

...the fuck what? How the hell is that "rebellion" against a "controlling" husband? You're doing exactly what he wants: giving him all kinds of unprotected sex without consequences. That's not "rebellion". Rebellion would be coming to him a couple months later and saying, "Hey, guess what? The Pill is not 100% effective and I'm pregnant!"

This woman obviously has "issues". Jesus Christ.

Obama sez he's looking at all the options for job creation, but he isn't.

The a-number-one way to promote job creation is lower taxes--it has been proven time and time again to work--and I can guaran-god-damn-tee you that he's not considering that.

What Obama is in fact doing is trying to find ways to expand government control of the job market such that some new jobs are created.

By the way, today I heard an alleged journalist say that 30,000 jobs were "created or saved", which--as we all know--is bullshit. There's no way to track that number.

Meanwhile, the "Dear Leader" shit continues. Obama's picture in the blue field of the American flag--how can anyone think this is a good idea? Forget that nonsense about "defacing" the flag; it's not the US flag if it doesn't have the stars in the blue field. This is not an American flag; it is merely similar to it. It's also pretty stupid.

Would the people purveying those flags make me one with Ronald Reagan's face? Or George W. Bush's face? I doubt it.

Two quotes to put the economy into perspective, from Boortz:

"The Dow reached 10,000 yesterday. So does that mean that our economic crisis is fading? Hardly."

and

"Yesterday, the dollar hit a 14-month low against the euro and the price of oil futures rose above 75 dollars for the first time in a year."

Folks, if the economy was recovering, the dollar would not be scraping rock bottom. And the only reason oil futures are rising is that the dollar itself is weakening, so that it takes more dollars to purchase a given quantity of oil. The same thing is happening to the price of gold; it takes more dollars to purchase a given quantity of gold, thus raising the price of gold over $1,000 per ounce.

When a man is on his deathbed, sometimes he will seem to recover a bit for a day or so; family members will see this as a sign that he's getting better, but his nurses and doctors will have seen this too many times before and will know that the man is, in fact, just about to kick the bucket.

I would wager we're seeing the last bit of life in our economy before it has to be put on a ventilator and pacemaker....

Michelle Malkin asks,
What has Obama ever done — what has he ever said — to disavow the bigoted attacks by liberals against minority conservatives in public life who have endured vicious bile because they chose their partners based on the content of their character and not the color of their skin?
She then answers her own question: "Nothing."

The idea that Obama has somehow made interracial marriages "okay" is laughable no matter how you parse it. He's a black man married to a black woman. (Technically he's half-black, as his mother was white and his father black, but everyone says he's "black".) What is interracial about that? The fact that Obama is what used to be called a "mulatto"? We're not supposed to pay attention to fractional race heredity--"mulatto" is considered racist--and we're supposed to accept a person's self-definition of his race. Obama self-identifies as "black"; therefore he's a black man married to a black woman. This is not an interracial marriage.

The undercurrent of Ms. Malkin's post is plain: Obama has only made America "post-racial" when ir ia convenient for Democrats. They still trot out the race card whenever they feel slighted or hurt by criticism. America is only "racist" when Democrats are being hurt.

What horseshit.

Online poll fail:

epic fail pictures

Actually it is the reporting of the poll's results which is the fail here. Most of the time, when you make a graph of something, you use consistent units in order to make the graph representative of the information you are trying to convey. In this case, however, apparently a "no" vote is only worth 20% of a "yes" vote, which is why the "no" bar--representing 50% of the respondents--is so much smaller than the "yes" bar, which also represents 50% of the respondents.

Oh, but there's no liberal bias in the media or anything....

Global warming is causing a quiet hurricane season. Wait, no, they don't say that. In fact they don't mention global warming at all.

They do mention global cooling, though they do not call it that: "...[S]ea temperatures in the tropical Atlantic are cooler, by about 2 degrees Fahrenheit (1.12 degrees Celsius) on average, than the blistering seasons of 2004...."

If the Atlantic ocean is cooler, where did that heat go? You cannot cool off one ocean while the globe is warming unless that heat went somewhere else--and I am still waiting for the eco-nuts to explain to me how the environment can violate the Laws of Thermodynamics.

Oh, "El Nino"! El Nino is doing it! That's why! It's magically sucking heat out of the Atlantic Ocean!

Then where the hell is that heat going?

Global warming: over.

How to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 12 days. You know, if George W. Bush had won the Nobel Peace Prize in October of 2001, we would have seen this sort of thing all over the media.

Someone would have included "preside over the largest terror attack in US history" to the list even though that happened long after the nominating period was closed.

Heh.

Elizabeth Scalia today links to a piece by an incorrigible nag.

And I have to comment about this quote from the "miserable toothache of a woman": "'This is what I need you to do today,' I say in a tone of voice that brooks no equivocation."

How would this woman feel if the man told her, at bedtime, "This is what I need you to do tonight" in a voice that brooked no equivocation?

The older I get, the more I realize that some shit isn't worth it. Oh Lord, please keep me from marrying a woman like that....

Parody. And from there I followed a link to here which sums it all up:
The important point is civility and respect in a relationship. Men will always avoid marriage if they feel that the woman thinks of a husband as a child to be trained and controlled. Similarly, women are surely wary of dealing with any man that carries the attitudes described in my earlier post. No healthy marriage could possibly be based on either perception.
I really don't like the world that resulted from the Me Generation and the sexual revolution.

But this kind of woman existed before those things; she's why we have adjectives like "scold", "nag", "harridan", and "bitch". It's why Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew ("shrew", there's another one) has persisted so well in literature.

Jeremy would do well to divorce that scathing nag.
