It's a shame it's fake. Indiana Jones done as a real serial from the 1940s? Which universe do I need to get to in order to have that box set? 'Cause I'm certain that would kick 50 times as much ass as the version we got.

I got to see An American Carol on the Showtime channels, so at least us having them free for three months (again) is not a complete waste.
The movie was funny; I laughed at it much more than I laugh at most things coming out of Hollywood these days. I don't know how much re-watch it has, but I taped it, just in case.
The downside was having to watch five minutes of commercials for Dexter, Diary of a Call Girl (so that's what Billie Piper got up to after Doctor Who), and Californication before the movie started. *sigh* "Don't miss this!" Believe me, I won't.
I won't miss it at all. Especially as I have no intention whatsoever of watching any of that crap.

The Anchoress discusses Copenhagen.

The snow has already melted, but they say we'll get more. I'll believe it when I see it.

I haven't watched any anime for a while.
Suteki Tantei Labyrinth is off the playlist; if I find myself avoiding watching anime because I have to watch a particular series, I yank it. I realized that I was dreading each new ep of STL; watching it is a chore, so F it.
But there's nothing in the playlist which I'm really looking forward to seeing, either; and other than ChuBra there's nothing coming up in the winter season I want to see.
77 eps of Hayate no Gotoku certainly isn't enough; I hope there's another series or two in the offing. Certainly there's more story to tell, but for the time being I'm out of new eps.
Sora no Manimani is good but I've got one ep left of that.
I've left off in the middle of Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2 ("Comet Empire") and Revolutionary Girl Utena. RGU is more cartoony than I recall the manga being but it's pretty good regardless. (The school's student council is a bunch of pretentious and self-important asshats.)
Well, there's Hana Yori Dango Returns--the second live action series--which I will watch sooner or later. But that's not technically anime.

When I started playing WoW last year, on Dec 19, the "Feast of Winter's Veil" had already begun so everything was decorated with a pseudo-Christmas theme. It starts again next week, on Tuesday, so it'll be something like old home week for me. I'm looking forward to it, especially since Amanleni ought to be high enough level to handle most of the quests. (And Chenal can do all the cooking quests, I think.)

I have no idea what the hell they're doing out in front of our house, but they've been fiddling around with the ground around the telephone pole since about 8 AM this morning.
I think there might be something up with the breakout box for the phones; the week before last the phone company had two trucks out here (Wednesday night, before Thanksgiving!) and early last week the JULIE crew spray-painted lines on the grass and street to show where the various lines and pipes are buried; so something is clearly either getting fixed or about to be.
It'd be nice if they'd tell us what's going on, though.
