The characters which mean "day" and "book", combined, are usually read "NIHON", translated as "JAPAN". But here I use them to mean "day-book", ie "diary".
This isn't anything like an actual Japanese word usage, as far as I know. BUT it forms a sort of pun and the title can alternately be translated "Megumi's Japan", which also isn't all that bad a title for this series.
And the "Copperplate Bold" romaji over the kana really makes it look cool IMHO. I am very easily pleased, though.
