#2368: Jimmy Carter is delusional.

America got better since his time in the White House but the moderates and leftists have dragged us back to the 1970s.

Carter sez, "We not only preserved peace for our country, we never went to war. We never dropped a bomb. We never fired a missile."

...Iran committed an act of war against the United States and you did nothing, you peanut-growing asshat. There is your "we never went to war", you buttplug weakling.

Advice Goddess has a good one today: "Does free food really need a better spin?" The hippies running California want to rename the food stamp program "CalFresh".

Then she blockquotes more Moe Tucker; and I'm telling you, Moe Tucker is just a hop, skip, and jump from supporting Palin in '12.

Obama's taking a huge vacation next week, and it's going to cost you and me a packet.

Three passenger jets plus a fighter escort. They reserved an entire freaking hotel plus large chunks of two others.

Man, what a crock.

And yes, the teleprompter is going with, too. That article describes how India's Parliament building is getting a makeover to accommodate the thing.

Obama is making India remodel their Parliament building so he can have his teleprompter. Well, you know, that's just how it is when you're a great orator.

Now up: Democrats trying to steal elections. As usual.

If you really want to stop vote fraud, there is an egregiously simple way to do it: make anyone who wishes to vote show a photo ID. But whenever such a law is proposed, there are always people writhing, reeling, and fainting in coils over the reimposition of the "poll tax" and the implied racism of expecting everyone to have a photo ID and how unjust it is that there should be any possible barrier to the "right to vote".

But the people who say those things are always, always, always DEMOCRATS. Because vote fraud always helps them, because they're the ones who are always doing it.

Meanwhile, here's my OH FUCK NO moment again: "I like the Democrats. I want to vote for Democrats, but I don't have citizenship." Democrats desperately want to give the franchise to immigrants--legal and illegal--because it will solidify their grip on power.

Rodger Hedgecock: "You have to show valid picture I.D. in California to rent a movie, cash a check, get on an airplane or get a senior discount at restaurants--but not to vote."

The fact is, if you don't have a driver's license or a passport, you can go to the DMV and get yourself a photo ID which never expires, at least here in Illinois. Mom's got one: the expiration date is 99/99/99, which occasionally causes some consternation when she uses it to cash a check. I think the card cost her $10.

The Moter-Voter act helps you register to vote when you get a driver's license. The Democrats insisted on enacting it when Clinton was in office.

How can anyone live in our modern society without some kind of photo ID? As Hedgecock points out, you need one for just about goddamned everything these days.

Eh? "The poor can't afford $10 for an ID card," you say? Then answer me this: how do they get their welfare checks cashed? How does the government prevent fraud and abuse of the welfare system without requiring some kind of ID if people can just go and say, "Hey, my name's XYZ and I can't find a job," and then going back two days later and saying, "Hey, my name's ZXY and I can't find a job," and then going back three days later and saying, "Hey, my name's YZX and I can't find a job," and collecting three times the welfare?

It beggars the imagination that some kind of ID is not required to receive welfare benefits. It's possible, but somehow I doubt it.

(Yes, some benefits are now disbursed via debit card. But not all benefits are. And when someone applies for those benefits, what sort of ID must they show?)

As long as vote fraud continues to help Democrats, there will be no reasonable and proper identity checks on voters. The instant vote fraud hurts them, you'll need to provide two photo IDs and a DNA sample in order to vote. Count on it.
