SMOKING ONE CIGARETTE WILL KILL YOU DEAD. Even accidentally inhaling a few particles of the smoke of that single cigarette will KILL YOU DEAD!!! DEAD! DEAD! DEAD!!!!!!!

So the Democrats in the House of Representatives who have managed to hold on to their seats are saying "no" to the continuance of all the Bush tax cuts.

Ace of Spades.

Politico.

Neal Boortz.

Apparently Obama's actual real compromise with the GOP has made the Democrats angry at him. So that's what it took, eh? They didn't care about the continuance of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"; they didn't care about his not closing Gitmo; they didn't really notice that he wasn't pushing for gay marriage; his decisions not to end Bush-era policies for which the left vilified Bush were left unremarked upon.

...but making a deal with Republicans that included keeping the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, that is unforgivable!

Way to go, Democrats. Keep it up. Keep positioning yourselves as the party of taxation.

This is why Richard Feynman won a Nobel Prize.

I finally got Vicki out of the worgen starting area. Now I'm running quests in Darkshore, and got her up to about level 15 or 16.

I think I'm going to have to bop back to Teldrassil, though, because for professions I took herbalism and inscription (there are no inscriptionists in the guild) and level 1 herbs are very scarce in Darkshore. (Level 1 herbs being silverleaf and peacebloom.)

Before Vicki hit level 10 and got the "two forms" skill, I was using the "/transform" command to switch back to human form. I set up a macro; click it, and Vicki says, "Angel Armor Peach!" and transforms.

"Angel Armor Peach!" is one of the transformation incantations from Wedding Peach, of course. It was the only one I could think of on the spur of the moment. I might switch it to "Moon Prism Power!" which is the English dub version of Sailor Moon's transformation incantation. Something moon-related, it seems, would better fit a werewolf.

It's definitely close to the winter solstice. We left the house to run some errands about 3:30-ish, and by the time we got home it was completely dark. *sigh*

Of late I've had a hankering to watch all three extended editions of the Lord of the Rings movies. Problem is, they're four hours long each; and when I had the idea it was like 11 PM. Although I frequently end up staying up to the wee hours of the morning, I don't like planning to do it for anything other than work. (Real work, I mean, for money.)

...I remember, about this time in 2005, that I was getting really tired of never seeing the sun. I got used to that, though.

It's been quite a while since I watched them--since getting them, in fact--so it wouldn't be unwelcome. It's just that they're so long....
