The local small town newspaper, the Record-Monitor, comes on Thursdays, and there was an ad for a tow truck driver. Requirement: "Must have Class 'C' license." Nothing about experience or anything--so I ran down there this morning and turned in an application and a resume.
God knows what will go on, but at least it's a start.

I am pretty sure the "rich people" in the 1930s who committed suicide did so because they were ruined financially, not because they were embarassed.
Doug Powers goes on to point out, "We’ve gone from 'yes we can' to 'jump' in just two and a half years."
And in any case the rich managed to retain their wealth through the depression. Oh, their net worths might have suffered, but they remained wealthy...and the smart ones got richer because it's always possible to make money when the markets make big moves in either direction.
The people who committed suicide were people who'd invested on margin, people who were so overextended that they found themselves owing more money than they could possibly ever pay back.
...and in fact there wasn't nearly as much of that going on as people believe. The suicide statistics don't change much around that time. It certainly was not like it was raining bodies on Wall Street or anything.

I feel anxious, and I'm not sure why. Panic attack? Now? I did something positive and I'm having an anxiety attack?
This is dicks.
On the plus side:
I got that going for me. But if I paste the text instead of the URL, it gets more evil and less good. *sigh*
