I mailed a check to them yesterday--a week before the due date!--so WTF.
Anyway, I had to switch the phone to my name, so the billing department person transferred me to customer service...and I waited on hold for eleven minutes. The background music was the theme to "Painting with Bob Ross"--royalty-free music, obviously--and it took a long time to get through the first song because it was continually being interrupted.
“Thank you for continuing to hold. Your call is very important to us. A representative will be with you shortly.”
After hearing the same recorded message over and over and over again, at 5m30s I began counting. In the next six minutes, the message was repeated nineteen times. That's an average of once every 18 seconds, for crying out loud!
...I guess they're really worried about people getting disgusted and hanging up.

Anyway, after that bullshit was dispensed with, I returned to work on the story I sent to Og the other night, and I managed another eight pages this afternoon.
Well...more like seven, really, and probably closer to six full pages. But the page counter started at 59 and ended up at 67, so that's eight! Ha, ha!
Now I have to shower, and go to the store for some stuff, and get something to eat for dinner (probably a bacon mofo; I haven't had one in about a week) before Bible study tonight.
Which reminds me: pretty soon I'm going to have to buy some printer paper. I'm running low.
