#3043: White House says "no aliens on Earth".

Apparently this is the most important issue presented at whitehouse.gov.

No aliens? None?

James Carville? Sam Donaldson? And what about Snookie and Lady Gaga? C'mon.

I admit to being sorely tempted to take part in National Bank Transfer Day but there are two major problems with it. The first is how much tax liability I would be exposed to; the second is that there are no full-service credit unions within a reasonable driving distance of my home.

I've always liked Charles Grassley. I voted for him once--once was the only opportunity I had--and I communicated with his office occasionally to boot.

Iran's just about got the Bomb. Yeah, and how long do you think it'll take them to put it to use on Israel? And us?

On the plus side at least someone in our government is taking it seriously. Joint military exercises are useful when you expect to be working together against a common enemy. They also send a powerful message.

Used car industry again lives down to the stereotype as "legal but slimy".

I don't even know where to begin with this. The law may allow these people to do these things, but good God is it a nasty business.

It's one of many good reasons why you should always secure your own financing rather than take what the dealership is offering, by the way.

DOOM!

I put this image of a click ad in my Photobucket "idiocy" folder, rather than "physics", for obvious reasons:

#1: there is no such thing as "free energy"

#2: all electric motors are "magnetic"

#3: I sincerely doubt it's been "banned" by anything other than the LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS

Shit.

I have so many things to do this week. I've got to go to bank #4 and see WTF I can do about getting the last bit of Mom's estate disbursed. I've got to do some job hunting (though I've already gotten one resume in as of Sunday night). I've got to see what I can do with the Fiero; I've got to go help Sailor V cut down a tree or two; I've got this-that-the-other-thing.

*sigh*

Last night I did another double dose of the playlist. That finished off OreImo which means I'll probably put Nichijou on the list in its place.

I'm not far from the end of Index 2, either. If I keep doing two-shots I'll be done with it before the week is out.

All of this means I haven't been on WoW very much. I'm a bit tired of WoW at the moment, feeling kind of burned out after the big surge of activity around the Halloween event. I'm going to see what I can do, during the Thanksgiving event week, to power-level cooking on certain toons--the Thanksgiving event is very good for that--and otherwise I doubt I'll try to do much in terms of getting the achievements.

I don't know.

Of late my system has had a background downloader running when I've been playing WoW, and it looks like a fairly major patch. I might be wrong about that "Pandaren" patch happening next year; the timing is suspicious and Blizzard isn't in the habit of pushing patches that way unless they're big ones. Even the Zandalari and Firelands patches weren't pushed via downloader; they were patched with the regular client.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, and I'll make a Pandaren monk named "Genma" (or some diacritical variation) and try to enjoy myself. Heh.

Anyway, it's Monday of a new week, and I'm trying to pull myself up by my bootstraps. I still feel a bit crummy--the sinusitis is taking its own sweet time about leaving--and I may have to get a course of something else to knock it out fully. But I feel better than I have.

I'm such a mess. *sigh*
