I read Butcher's Changes, the latest Dresden Files paperback, at one sitting.

I had not intended such. And somewhere about halfway through I thought, Maybe I ought to put this down and get some sleep. But the thought passed quickly and I kept turning pages.

I don't remember what time it was when I started reading, but it couldn't have been much before 8 PM. Still, eight hours to tear through a 540 page novel--and I never took Evelyn Wood or anything.

Bit of a pity to use up such a good read in one sitting, but what can I do?

Dead Man Dance was "meh" about the first Dresden book, Storm Front. I don't see how that's possible. I'm not a "detective story" kind of guy, either, but Butcher is good. I wish I were that good.

* * * it's 5 AM and I haven't slept, and I need to hit the hay.
