Usagi Drop continues to be very good. In the latest episode, Daikichi and Rin host Kouki and his mother on a night when a typhoon comes; and I really really really really really really really really really really want to see Daikichi and Kouki's mother end up together. The four of them make a very nice family.

It seems we got somewhere in the neighborhood of eight inches of global warming. Heck of a way to run a winter: have nice mild temperatures most of the time only to have real winter weather suddenly descend on us once we're about halfway through January.
Well, at least I got to ride the motorcycle a couple of times in the past few months. To be honest we were about due for snow, if you think about it; if it had been about ten degrees cooler on the Thursday before Christmas we would have gotten a shitton of snow then.
Yeah, it snowed in winter. Who could have seen that coming? *rolleyes*
I can't help being sarcastic when someone evinces shock and surprise at seasonal weather. Okay, if it's July then you get to be surprised that it's snowing. Okay? Not in f-ing January. This is the northern hemisphere and it's the boreal winter, so get used to it.

("Boreal" means "northern hemisphere" the way "austral" means "southern hemisphere". I want to say it's Greek. It might not be. I don't care enough to look it up. Whatever it is, get used to it.)

One of the good things about the HnG manga is the fan service that it contains. It's not exactly wall-to-wall fan service or anything but every so often we get an eyeful of something good, be it a naked Maria, or someone's panties, or whatever.
It reminds a man that there's more to life than transforming mechs, I'll tell you that.
Hinagiku is a tsundere. I never realized it, not until I read the manga; but the artist does such a good job with the stereotype that it makes her extra-cute rather than hateful and/or annoying. (Example of "hateful and/or annoying": Naru Narusegawa from Love Hina. Also the female lead from Asu no Yoichi.) Hina-chan is probably the best tsundere ever.

Even though I went to Culver's for lunch yesterday, I ended up getting General Tao's chicken from the Chinese place for dinner last night. I just didn't feel like cooking anything.

"There's no inflation" department: Pepsi now comes in 20-can cases rather than 24-can cases.
You can raise the price of an item two ways: either by keeping the package the same size and increasing the price, or by keeping the price the same and decreasing the size of the package. I've noticed that the price of Pepsi has gone up in the past two years, and I expect the guys in charge at Pepsico decided that they'd raised the price as far as they could.
No one is fooled, though.

And now it's time for WoW!
