#3395: That sucked.

When I turned on the TV, the 500 was already running, 28 laps in, because apparently I--after living on Central Time all my life--still cannot correctly calculate Central Time given Eastern Time.

*sigh*

...the actual race part started somewhere around 11:15 CENTRAL time, after the national anthem and Jim Nabors and-and-and. But WTF, I only missed 28 laps, and one caution due to one of the Target drivers getting rear-ended on Pit Row.

I didn't care who won as long as it wasn't either of the Target cars.

...and I won't say anything in case someone out there has a tape/DVD of the race they haven't watched yet. About 2/3 of the way through the race I started rooting for the Japanese guy, because he was a really good driver and it would be neat to see a Japanese guy win the thing for once. I will say that the Japanese guy didn't win, to my disappointment, and that was the part that sucked.

That was the first time I have ever yelled at the TV during a sporting event.
