See, Lemonzen and I queued for Wrath of the Lich King heroics. I had intended to play no later than 2 AM.
But then we got into this group. Into this REALLY, REALLY GOOD GROUP.
We did several random heroics...and then we hit "Forge of Souls", "Pit of Saron", and "Halls of Reflection", which are meant to be the last three instances before characters hit the big Icecrown Citadel raid. It sets up the whole endgame story, and you have to do them in order starting at FoS, continuing through PoS, and then finally on to HoR. They're daisy-chained.
A couple years ago I managed to get into HoR after battling through the first two...and the group fell apart there. This is the first time I managed to get any toon through all three of those instances.
Ormus added more than 30 achievements in the last 24 hours because of this...insane level of playing that I've been doing. 28 under "Wrath of the Lich King Dungeons" alone. Shit.
We'd still be going if the servers hadn't shut down for the regular Tuesday maintenance. So there was a flurry of RealID addresses being exchanged because we'd all worked so well together.
Also, Ormus spent some money at the auction house and got more upgraded equipment. I think I spent around 300 GP--but I made it all back with the marathon adventuring I did tonight. That gear--plus upgrades gotten from the instances I ran--have made him a force to be reckoned with. I think I doubled his mana and health literally overnight with these upgrades.
Of course, this is going to play merry hell with my plans for the day. But I haven't had that much fun in months. As long as I don't make a habit of it....
On the plus side I know that if I'd had to be up this morning to go to work, I wouldn't have done it, so I don't feel like I'm totally irresponsible.
But because there's no Bible study tonight, I can go to bed now, and then get up this afternoon and accomplish the majority of the errands and chores I've got to do. But I really do have to go to that place on Wednesday and fill out an application, because damn.
