I went up to see Lemonzen in the Citrus Grove last night, after delivering my nephew to my sister-in-law. Lemonzen had bought a pack of sushi from her local Jewel, and we didn't eat it, so she sent it home with me. And now it's breakfast.
See, our new pastor had his first sermon in this church today, and there was a little reception in the narthex afterwards--punch and cookies--and I ate far too many cookies. So now I haven't got much of an appetite. Sushi is pretty light, so I figure I'll eat that and collapse for a few hours.
It's too damned hot to do anything outside, anyway, and it's threatening rain.
"Threatening"--there's a severe thunderstorm closing in on the Fungal Vale as I write this, and I couldn't be happier. The more rain we get before the 4th, the less likely our fireworks are to start a fire.

This sushi has a sell-by date of 7/2, but it's damned mushy compared to mine. Grocery store sushi really is subpar.

After getting home from the Citrus Grove last night, I fired up Escaflowne and played a little Carmageddon. Wouldn't you know it--the cinematics worked fine and there was sound.
...my poor nephew missed the amazing sound effects. Oh well.

Note to self: tell Lemonzen never to buy sushi from Jewel ever again. Ack.
Well, I ate most of it, anyway.
