#3874: I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR MARK KIRK EVER AGAIN.

The scumbag voted for amnesty.

I voted for that son of a bitch when he was up for election, but I will never make that mistake again. Never never NEVER N.E.V.E.R. NOT EVER NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT.

Well, I got the grass cut...and barely an hour later, WHOOSH a severe thunderstorm came through. Lots of rain, high winds, hail in places (not here, fortunately)--it was a heck of a gullywasher.

It knocked over a tree about half a mile south of here, right onto the wires, and apparently the tree caught fire. That must be why my power went out for 3-5 minutes when Edapha, human priest, was right in the middle of Stratholme with a pick-up group. *sigh*

On the list for the job hunt: over in Tinley Park, a place called Cycle Gear has just opened. It's a store full of motorcycle stuff. I'm going to visit the place but I'm also going to apply for a job there. That'd be pretty cool, wouldn't it?

Also on the list? Quick lube places. I had that brainstorm a couple of days ago.

But! First I need to visit my doctor, because my right eye hurts a bit--well, it's uncomfortable, not painful, really--and bright lights have interference fringes around them. The interference fringes have been there for a couple of days, but the discomfort is new. I had a gander in the mirror and managed to detect a slight defect in my cornea, which is TRIPLEPLUSUNGOOD, so that's what I'm going to be doing tomorrow. Whee! It's another bill I didn't need! *sigh*

And besides that, I desperately need to get a haircut. Jeeze louise, I haven't had one since December 29th, when I went to see Og's barber, for a pre-wedding shave and haircut. He did a great job and I looked--in his words--like a sex symbol, but getting the whole works cost me $50 with tip. (So much for "two bits".) I was extremely pleased with the haircut--with everything he did--so I want to go back to him even though he costs a bit more than SuperCuts.

Goulash for dinner tonight. I started it around 7 PM and only just put the peppers in about 20 minutes ago. By the time Mrs. Fungus gets home from work, though, it's going to be OUT.STAND.ING.
